About Me:
My name is Josh Cousineau. I’m the youth pastor in Auburn Maine at EABC & Atmosphere Church. Married for 6 years to my high school sweet heart, and father of 2 boys, 1 and 3 years old. My wife and I are in the long process of adopting from Ethiopia and are looking forward to the little child that God has chosen for us. I love to read, play Lego’s, drink coffee and spend as much time as I can with my wife.
This Blog:
My goal for this blog is to share my heart and vision for a Cross-Centered approach to youth ministry. I will never clam to know everything, or even understand everything. I do however fell that we have gotten away from teaching Jesus and the Cross to students, for a more social gospel and event centered, program based views. I will attempt to write a statement of my philosophy at some point on this site but until then the below will have to do
Cross-Centered Youth:
A cross-centered youth ministry is one that understands the Jesus is the focal point of all history, and that the Bible is the central testament to this. They understand that they are separated from the God and only reconciled when Jesus died for their sins on the cross. A cross-centered youth ministry is gospel focused, Jesus driven and community engaging.

Josh,
Snap! I just discovered your blog via band of bloggers. As you can see, we have thought about the same thing, even named our blogs the same!
I haven’t added any posts for a while, but hope to get back into it some time soon.
Bless you
James
